I Don't Do Mornings

Have you ever had one of those mornings where you're so disoriented and zombified that after you pour the milk on your cereal, you go to put the gallon of milk in the pantry, and the box of cereal in your refrigerator?

How far did you get before you realized what you were doing?

And if milk and cereal aren't part of your routine, do you have a similar story of morning absent-mindedness?

I have a box of instant rice with all my pots and pans. I don't know how it got from the 'pantry' to where I keep my pots and pans and I have no idea why it is still there but ...

I'm not the cereal guy anymore but I have found myself standing in my kitchen with a hot pot of coffee in my hand trying to remember where I was going to pour its contents.

Jennie tells me I have these moments constantly as things turn up in odd places. But I think that she moves them when I'm out and this is all part of her cunning plan to get me to admit to senility. Which I freely do btw, so I don't know why she's still bothering.

A bank card in the recipe box was a good one. She really had me fooled there.

Yesterday I poured coffee into my coffee when I had already done that and meant to be adding milk.
