Without having talked to the Good Doctor, my guess would be that it's the Forney Transportation Museum. It used to be in the building that the huge REI is in now downtown. It's now up by the Denver Coliseum off of I-70 and Brighton (or thereabouts...)
Kinda like the very random train museum out in northwest Golden toward the Coors holding ponds. There's lots of strange museums in this town!
