And If Everyone Else Jumped Off A Bridge...

It's trendy. All the cool kids are doing it. I didn't want to be left out.

Or something like that.

So I got in the cyber soup line, and in short order received my very own blog. This one, in point of fact. But then, you knew that. You're so smart. And such great taste, too.

Oh... and if you haven't filed your taxes yet, you have exactly 5 minutes to take care of that.

So what happens when I fail to get my taxes done on time. I mean, I submitted them but they were rejected (long story). Am I in trouble or do I just lose any chance of a rebate? D'oh.

Rebate? What's that?

I have never once received a tax rebate. For whatever reason, it's always worked out that I end up owing the IRS somewhere between $100-$200 every single time.

The truth is, I rather prefer it that way. That way, the money is mine all year, to have in the bank earning interest, or spend on whatever impulsive thing I want to get, or what-not. Then I find out in mid-January that I've gonna owe this small chunk come April, and take care of it without much hassle.

But then, sometimes I think it might be nice to get a little financial windfall every mid-April.

I'm right there with you, my good Doctor. It just so happens we're getting a rebate this year, but that's because we now have a mortgage and a daughter.

The best situation is when the government owes you a little or when you owe the government a little. No harm. No foul.
