Solitaire?

It's Saturday, a day for play, and so in lieu of any not-really-profound thoughts from me, I'll offer you a game that slid my way earlier this week.

It's time to "cooperate with yourself." If you know what I mean. And until you've played this, you probably don't.

Words fail me. This is so brilliant a concept.
Which reminds me... I wish I could buy Portal on its own. I don't care for all the other stuff they've, well, stuffed into the "Orange Box." I just want Portal.
Damn it.

Oh now that's a frakking evil little game right there. Didn't realize what the "cooperate with yourself" meant until I got to level 7.

And I still don't play well with others, apparently. :P

Wow indeed. I got to the game wondering what your comments were all about, and got it on level 7 too.

Incredible. I love this out of the box thinking.

FKL,

I've been told you can pick up Portal on its own, but I've never seen this anywhere for myself. I sure as hell am not going to buy all that FPS crap in the Orange Box to get to that game.

Portal is available from Steam as a download on it's own.

I can't recommend it enough - best game of last year.

Portal is available on its own for the PC. If you have a PS3 or Xbox 360, you can only get it with Orange Box (which is a great deal presuming you have an interest in half the stuff on it).
