This web site affirmed for me that no cause is too strange for people to get behind it. Or too small for there not to be a sub-group of people who go about advocating their cause in a really strange way.

Ok, as the son of a former contractor, let me tell you how insane some people are about this! Whenever we'd remodel a home and take out old toilets that were the old standard flow - we were supposed to destroy them according to good ol' Uncle Sam.
But seriously - we'd have people (who we would see more than once) come up to us and offer us $200-$500 for these old toilets just because they WEREN'T low flow.
Yeah. Like we're gonna say no to free money. Now I don't believe low flows save a whole lot because all ya do is end up flushing 2 or 3 times to make it do the job its supposed to do.
But I'm not going to go out of my way to pay $500 for an old toilet...or to use explosives on the one I have.
Although it is fun to watch. ;)
That's as good as June being both "Celibacy Awareness Month" and "World Infertility Month".
