Act Now While Supplies Last

Since I know there are a few of you reading this in the Norfolk area that love Macintosh computers, I thought I'd share this story. (Second related link here.) Apparently, the school district is selling off used iBooks for $50 a piece on August 9th. Mark your calendar if you want in.

Hmm. It would be very nice to have another laptop. These look like LWC's old iBook, which was a good computer about 3 yeears ago. Thanks for the link, at any rate.

hmm...business venture. Although it probably costs $50 in gas to get to richmond and back.

Maybe I can talk squarepants into going up there for me.

I should note that I read that story as well, and nearly sent it to CK but got busy at work and never got around to it.

The point of the above paragraph is just to establish that I read the story, so I know the following bit of info is true: the laptops are 1 per customer, so unless you can talk someone into going up there solely to get you a laptop and come home with nothing for themselves, looks like you have to make the road trip to Richmond in order to score one.

Of course, there is always carpooling.

Do remember that they were school equipment and they were probably not treated very gently.

I'll leave you all to it.
